Snow Information

Thredbo is a 20 min drive. You enter the National Park to access Thredbo. Contact National Parks & Wildlife Service 1300 361 967 or visit NSW Parks & Wildlife website for further information. In winter you will need chains for your car if you do not have a 4 wheel drive vehicle.

The ski tube is 5 min drive. The ski tube takes you to Perisher and Blue Cow ski fields. You do not need chains for your car to access the ski tube. However care should be taken when driving as the road can be slippery.

Ski, clothing hire & ski/snowboard lessons are available at Thredbo, Perisher, and Blue Cow & Smiggins Hole. We can make bookings and provide assistance for you if needed.

Andrea's White House is 1200 metres above sea level. We do get snow here, but it usually doesn't stay for very long. A few days at the most.

Other Activities

The Snowy Mountains offers a wide range of other activities including bush walking, horse riding, fishing, boating and mountain bike riding.

Tourist Information Centre

Jindabyne is approx 10 minutes drive away. The Snowy Mountains Visitors Centre is located in Jindabyne and is very informative. The local picture theatre is also located at the Visitors Centre and shows up to date releases. Please ask for details of current showings if you are interested in attending.

Shops & Services

Should you need a Medical Centre there is one in Jindabyne located behind Nuggets Crossing (next to the Chemist). There is also a Newsagent and a Post Office at Jindabyne. Supplies can be obtained from the two IGA Supermarkets. Both sell alcohol. Numerous ski equipment hire outlets are available at Jindabyne.

Restaurants & Entertainment

Fine dining is available close by. Restaurants & entertainment venues are located at Thredbo & Jindabyne. Perisher has a great selection of places to enjoy a meal and a drink but this is more limited to day time activities if you are not staying at Perisher.
